Step Four:
After filling out a NICA waiver and meds disclosure for each rider, and waiver/disclosure for each riding parent(s), and letting Coach know if you'll need a loaner bike... come out to a pre-season (or mid-season) ride and try it out!
Step Five:
GET READY.... Each year Parents of both new and returning riders receive a yearly "Invitation to the NICA Pit Zone" email (or "Welcome back to the Pit Zone!" email for returning riders) from NICA Pit Zone, during the pre-season, to register student athlete rider(s) with the league for the year by season start. Parents wishing to ride with the team more than for a single trial can also register there (yearly) as a volunteer Assistant Coach, and take Level 1 (safety, concussion, background check, and NICA) training there. Then you can ride with us as may times as you want!
Step Six:
...GET SET... RSVP to Coaches (via Team Snap) and come to practices (Weds weekday rides, Weekend Rides)!
Step Seven:
...RACE! Parent registers student-athlete riders for NICA races via PitZone, and/or non-NICA races via inidividual race series organizers' websites. Come out and race and cheer your teammates on!
Parents can volunteer (pit crew, team cheering section organizer, course marshal) on race day as well.
